Hi baking friends!

Hi, I’m Jillian - the baker behind Cake by Vinnie!

Before I start talking about myself, I just wanted to say thank you for being here! Whether you are a new follower or a long-time follower, or even if this is the first time you are on my page, I am so appreciative of each and every one of you!

Let’s begin with a little about me:

I have spent my entire life being in love with creating in the kitchen. Whether it is cooking healthy meals, or baking something to satisfy my (massive!!) sweet tooth (because life’s all about balance, right?), the majority of my free time is spent in the kitchen.

However, it wasn’t until recently that my love for baking became part of my job (which will always be a pinch-me moment!). Before now, I actually spent a big portion of my twenties earning my bachelor’s degree in organizational management and my master’s degree in college counseling. So, to say things have changed drastically is putting it lightly. I mean, going from working in a college to working in my kitchen wearing sweatpants all day, talk a dream come true!

When I started Cake by Vinnie, I didn’t have much of a goal other than wanting a little space on the internet where I could share my love for baking, more specifically, my love for cakes and cupcakes. However, my life has taken a lot of unplanned twists and turns lately, so what began as a simple place for posting my creations, ended up being an outlet that I could turn to when life feels overwhelming (something that I’m sure so many of you can relate to).

Along the way, I have started to connect with so many of you lovely people on social media where I organically began to share all of my favorite tips and tricks that I have learned along the way (because we don’t gatekeep on this page!). My main objective is to be a resource for you all to become as confident in your cake and cupcake decorating as possible! On this page, I will continue to share decorating tutorials, as I do on my social media platforms, but I will also be sharing all my personal recipes!

Anyway, that’s all for now! If you managed to read all of that without getting bored, I appreciate you! If you read all of that and DID get bored, I still appreciate you!
